PRICE BEAT PROMISE

1. What is Game’s Price Beat Promise and how does it work?
Game launched its Price Beat Promise in 1970, as part of its commitment to offering its customers unbeatable prices on every item over the last 51 years. Game launched its Price Beat Promise in 1970, as part of its commitment to offering its customers unbeatable prices on every item over the last 51 years.  If you're shopping for something specific and find it cheaper elsewhere, let Game know by taking the leaflet showing the cheaper price into one of its 117 stores across the country, and they will beat that price by 10% on the difference. As of May 2021, the Price Beat Promise is also redeemable as an after-sales service for purchases made online. Customers who have purchased items online within the last 21 days can email a screenshot or link to the cheaper item to [email protected], along with their order number, in order to be eligible for a refund of the difference between prices plus 10% on the difference. 

For those consumers who continue to track prices after purchase, the Price Beat Promise still applies. If you see the item you have purchased from Game cheaper anywhere else within 21 days of purchase, you are able to take the competitor leaflet, valid at the time of the request into any Game store to receive a refund of 10% on the difference.

2. Will it apply on all Black November deals?
Yes, as long as the two products you are comparing are identical, of the same make and have the same barcode, and it is not discontinued or damaged stock.

4. How long will I have to claim the Price Beat Promise after buying an item?
For those consumers who continue to track prices after purchase, the Price Beat Promise still applies. If you see the item you have purchased from Game cheaper anywhere else within 21 days of purchase, you are able to take the competitor leaflet, valid at the time of the request into any Game store to receive a refund of 10% on the difference.

No, these remain as normal and dated to purchase date.

TIMES / DATES

1. When is Black November 2021 at Game?
The Black November promotion is running for the whole of November, from 1 - 30 November 2021. Game will be releasing weekly deals each Wednesday in November, which will only be valid for the week in question. These deals will be in line with our usual, unbeatable Black November deals (up to 70% off) and will only be valid for the week in question. Below is the deal cadence for Black November:
  • Week 1 Leaflet valid 1- 9 November 2021
  • Week 2– Leaflet valid 10 – 16 November 2021
  • Week 3– Leaflet valid 17- 23 November 2021
  • Week 4 – Leaflet valid 24- 30 November 2021

We urge our customers to take advantage of these deals each week, as they are never-to-be-repeated deals. We will not have specific discounts on 26 November.

1. Are there different Black November deals for products sold online verses those in-store for Black November?
The majority of the deals are available in-store and online. There are instances where some products are only available online, or only available in-store. For instance: Game will not sell all catalogue lines online (such as full-length mirrors and Miss Molly laundry baskets or assorted lines (different colours under one SKU)).

2. Why are not all products sold at Game on special during the Black November promotion?
We have worked to secure unbeatable deals with our suppliers for Black November. The range of products we have on special during Black November ranges from TVs, computers, appliances, cellular, baby products, DIY tools and much more.

3. How long will my order take to be delivered if I ordered online?
During Black November, we are committed to having all deliveries, fulfilled within 10 working days.

5. What happens if your website crashes in the middle of my order?
Game IT teams are working hard to ensure this doesn’t happen, including introducing more capacity to handle twice the number of online users as 2020.

We are working closely with PayU (a payment gateway for online purchases), SABC and all the South African banks, to ensure that we provide our customers with a seamless transaction and checkout experience.

If you are purchasing a TV online, the validation of the order has been extended to 30 seconds to accommodate the load. We ask that customers please be patient if it takes longer, as there may be a slight delay. If the TV license system does not work we will load the licenses manually.

We have dedicated teams on standby to assist with any IT issues that might arise during Black November trading.

6. What do I require to purchase a TV online?
By law, every customer must have a valid TV licence when purchasing a television set. The TV licence holder’s ID number will help us find your television licence number. You will be required to scan and email the TV licence holder's SA ID Book to [email protected] when validating your TV license to speed up the processing of your order. Please make sure you quote your order number when scanning your ID documents.

For us to speed up the processing of your order, please ensure you have an up–to-date TV license. You can buy one in-store before Black November to avoid delays.

7. How much will my delivery cost?
In-store delivery fees will apply per purchase. If customers pay with their Game mystore card they will receive free delivery, for in-store purchases only.

8. Is there a limit to how many of the same items I can buy over Black November in store?
No, there is no limit on how many of the same items you purchase in store during our Black November promotions. It is important to note that Black November stock is limited, and once they are sold out, they are sold out.

9. Is there a limit to how many of the same items I can buy over Black November online?
Over Black November, we have limited the online catalogue to Black November promotional items only in the interests of delivering on our promises. You can still shop the entire catalogue in-store.

10. What can I do if what I want to buy online is sold out?
Our Black November stock is limited. Unfortunately, if the product you want to buy is sold out, this means we have no more stock of the item. To avoid disappointment we recommend you look at all the deals when the news deals are released according to the below dates:
  • Week 1 Leaflet valid 1 - 9 November 2021
  • Week 2– Leaflet valid 10 – 16 November 2021
  • Week 3– Leaflet valid 17- 23 November 2021

11. What can I do if my order hasn’t arrived?
For online orders: You can track your order under the ‘My orders’ tab in ‘Profile’ section.
For in-store orders:  You will receive a message or a call to see what time you will be available for your delivery. You can also phone the contact centre or the store where you made your purchase to track your order. Please keep a copy of your receipt to quote your order.

12. Will certain deals only be available on Black Friday (traditionally the last Friday of the month)?
No – Black November is taking place from 1 - 30 November. As such there will be no special deals on 26 November. There are new unbeatable deals every week in November.

13. Will you be offering Cyber Monday deals?
Game has an exclusive online only sale called the Game Dot Co.Za sale, from 26 – 30 November.

14. Acceptance of Delivery
We request that customers please inspect your goods before signing the delivery document, by ensuring all goods received are in good working order and free of any defects.
Should you view any inconsistencies, please ensure the delivery document is endorsed accordingly and reject your delivery.

TV Deliveries
Your TV purchase being delivered to you is deemed to be fragile.  We request our customers to please inspect the goods by switching on and ensuring it is in good working order before signing acceptance of the delivery.

15. What do I do if I wish to return something I purchased during the Black November Game promotion?
Had a change of mind?  Please contact the Game Online Support contact centre: 0861 426 333.

If you bought your item in store, please return it back to the store you purchased the item from together with your original till slip.

Black November Returns - Within 7 days
Exchanges can only be actioned if there is available stock. A refund will be processed in the event there is no available stock.

Please note these terms and conditions for refunds on items only (excluding delivery charge if collected by couriers), provided the return and refund is still within 7 days – starting from day item was delivered:
  • All items wanting to be returned must be sealed and unused in its original packaging.
  • Faulty items can be returned for a full refund – including the delivery charge.
Black November Returns - After 7 days
For returns of Black November items after 7 days, the item has to be faulty. In this case the customer can contact, email or phone the contact centre.
The customer must send images to [email protected] of the faulty unit that needs to be returned. Please don’t forget to quote your order or reference number.
Please expect a 21 day repairs turnaround time for items under product warranty.

Unfortunately, there is no Exchange – only refunds for Black November orders.
Faulty items can be returned for a full refund – including delivery charge.

Repairs –  items might have to be exchanged for the same item if approved by supplier.

16. What if I buy something during Black November and when I open it at home later I realise that the product is damaged?
Damaged items can be returned for a full refund – including delivery charge. Customer to send images to [email protected] of the faulty unit wanting to be returned. 21 day repairs turnaround time for items under product warranty.

17. Can I put my Black November purchases on layby?
Yes, you can. You can place purchases on layby at a 0% deposit until 24 December, the first instalment will be due in 30 days. You cannot place online purchases on layby. 

18. Can I buy Black November promotional items on credit?
Yes. Standard credit terms and conditions apply on all Black November offers. You will also receive free delivery if you buy items with your Game mystore card for in-store purchases only.

19. If my nearest store doesn’t have stock, can I pay for it in advance and collect stock when it arrives?
No, stocks are limited and will vary by store on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our Black November deals are in high demand so get to your nearest store as early as you can.

20. If my nearest store is out of stock, can I get a call back voucher for Black November deals?
No call back vouchers will be issued for the Black November promotion.
